NEWS:Glossopdale Sex Education Sessions (2010-07-22)
Barbara and Alison have now completed 3 sex education sessions to year 10 pupils in Glossopdale Community College during the summer term 2010.
These sessions were delivered as "one offs" to help year 10 catch up, because they had not received any SRE at Glossopdale.
We organised these sessions for Alison's student placement so Alison could to gain more experience teaching young people SRE. Alison did not feel ready to deliver the sessions, and attended sessions one and three. In session 1 she was an observer, in session 3 she was part of the student group. We were also accompanied by two school nurses, Beth and Lucy, and a nursing student in session 2 and 3. Beth and Lucy answered questions about the services they offer, and the availability of sexual health information and advice in Glossopdale Community College and the new Primary Care Centre.
